Team GB goes for Gold!
This weekend saw the NIA in Birmingham play host to the GB Mens Judo World Cup.
For the second year running Reach were asked to create a brand for the World Cup to be used across all marketing materials and city dressing around Birmingham. Our start point was art directing some striking photography that formed the basis of the brand. Creating a teaser advert was the start of the recognisable brand identity which then soon lead to the main event posters. The poster design was then rolled out across other ads, souvenir programme, pull up banners and an information booklet.
We were then asked to create various items of "city dressing" to promote the event around Birmingham including outdoor poster sites, planter posters, hanging pendant banners and a clock. These were very sucessful with BJA reporting that many people had commented about seeing the branding up in various parts of the city. The most striking piece was the giant 12m tall sign dominating the NIA Birmingham entrance.
The event was a great success from a marketing perspective having created a strong distinctive brand for Great British Judo World Cup but also with Great Britain's Craig Fallon taking Gold in the -60kg Weight category.
