Investing in the future

Every business knows the value of a well-trained workforce. With skills shortages becoming a real issue for many industries, it is more important than ever for businesses to focus on the range of ways in which they can find, recruit and support the next generation of professionals.

Through apprenticeships, you have the chance to support an enthusiastic young person in the first steps of their career whilst tailoring their work to what best suits your needs as an employer – giving them practical on-the-job experience and helping support them in gaining the all-important qualifications they need to succeed.

Given we’re currently celebrating Learning at Work Week, it should be no surprise that we’re proud to be shouting about the great example our Apprentices (both past and present) have set for how staff can add to their skillset and commit to their continuing professional development!

Our current Apprentice Administrator, Connor Marriott, is studying for his NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration and took over in our Reception when he joined the team last July.

He says, “My time so far at Reach Marketing has been fantastic, and I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity. Working here has given me the opportunity to do lots of exciting things and I have learnt so many new skills. Everyone has also been very welcoming, friendly and kind to me since I started at Reach which I feel has really brought out the best in me.”

Since joining us, Connor has become the first port of call for all those getting in touch with our agency, whether it’s over the phone or as a visitor to our Leicester office. Using his keen people skills to make a great first impression for our clients and stakeholders, he’s excelled in his role so far and has made a valuable addition to the team.
